AN 11-year-old girl has been indecently assaulted whilst walking alone in Menstrie.
The girl had stopped walking and had sat down in the Ochil Hills, near Ochil Road, when she was grabbed and assaulted.
The offence took place at some time during an evening in the first week in July.
Detective Sergeant Steven McMillan said, “The incident left the girl so traumatised it took her some time to come forward and report the incident to police.”
Police believe the indecent assault is not related to the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl at knife point which took place in Dollar on 21 June.
The man police want to trace for the Menstrie attack is described as being in his 20s, of athletic build and around 5’10” tall.
He had short brown hair, brown eyes and was wearing light blue jeans and white trainers.
The man also had a Rangers FC logo on his right shoulder and was bare-chested at the time of the incident.
DS McMillan added, “This is not being linked to any other investigation in the area and we are keen to hear from anybody who may recognise the description of the man we want to trace.
“In particular somebody may recognise the description of the tattoo which had the letters RFC intertwined and stars.”
