Two in critical condition after road smash

TWO men are in a critical condition after a road crash on the Dollar Bends last night (Tuesday).

The collision between a car and van happened at 8.50pm on the A91 between Tillicoultry and Dollar.

Firefighters cut the casualties from the car before they were transferred to Forth Valley Royal Hospital where their condition is described as "critical".

The driver of the van was uninjured.

Central Scotland Police closed the road for eight hours to carry out a collision investigation.
