DOLLAR Burnside Action group raised £850 through a fundraising dinner held in Mo's Plaice on Saturday (22 September).
Over 70 people attended the event at the Dollar eaterie and ingredients for the supper were supplied by the Co-operative Food Store, also in Dollar.
The Italian night featured tasty antpasti from the Co-op chilled section as the starter, with regular or veggie lasagne as the main course served with fresh salad leaves and cherry tomatoes.
Dessert was either tiramisu, made by local chef Matt, or fresh fruit salad.
Staff at the Co-op also generously donated a selection of yummy home-made confectionery to round off the meal.
The money raised will go towards the regeneration and enhancements of the Burnside.
The action group was formed over a year ago by members of the community who were unhappy with the decline, and wanted to restore it to its former glory.
Joanne Rogers, chairman of the group said, "We are yet again very grateful to Mo for the venue. We are blown away by the generosity of the staff at the Co-op in particular Rochelle whose idea it was to support the event and along with Mark, offered help and support throughout. We are also grateful to Matt for the tiramisu and for general advice, to our lovely waitresses and not least to everyone for coming."
