THE Devonvale Hall will host a Christmas lights switch-on party on Saturday (1 December).

The lights for the Tillicoultry hall in Moss Road were purchased last year and dedicated to the memory of Louise Imrie.

Louise was just 14-years-old when she passed away in November last year after suffering a brain haemorrhage.

To celebrate the switch-on, the Devonvale Hall company is holding a party to thank residents for their support to the community facility.

The family event is free, although children must be accompanied by an adult, with live bands, carols, face painting, hot food and more.

Tillicoultry and Coalsnaughton Primary school are making decorations for the hall's Christmas tree.

A spokeswoman for Devonvale Hall Ltd said, "All the entertainers have given their time for free to make it a real community night."

The evening begins at 6pm and runs until 12.30am.
