CLACKMANNANSHIRE Community Wardens Team are helping groups and individuals through the Community Safety Cash Fund.

Last week the Warden's Team went along to visit Sauchie's Activ8 to see first-hand how they used the products purchased with the funding received.

Activ8 used the funding to purchase 60 bright orange hoodies for the children who attend their youth club.

The group provide a service to the local community with various different activities available.

These activities give youngsters something to do and is an alternative to possibly hanging around the town and getting involved in anti social behaviour.

Convener of Housing, Health and Care, councillor Les Sharp, said, "Funding is available for projects who target at least one of the following aspects: reducing crime; reducing anti-social behaviour; reducing the fear of crime; and improving the general safety of our communities.

"Having all the children dressed in the same way, gives the children ownership of the group, makes them all the same and is easier for the group leaders to recognise the children when they are in a large group."
