Central Scotland Police are on the hunt after a 65-year-old Alloa woman was robbed in her home.

Officers said two men forced their way into the Queen Street house at around 3pm on Tuesday 11 December and stole a four-figure sum of money.

The woman was not hurt during

the raid.

Detective Inspector David Mitchell, who is leading the inquiry, said, "This was an extremely frightening incident for the woman who was threatened and had her home ransacked.

"She managed to raise the alarm after the men left the house. Thankfully she was not hurt, but has been left extremely shocked by what happened."

One of the robbers is described as being in his mid-late 20s, 6ft tall, of slim build and was wearing dark clothing.

The second man was described as being in his early 20s, slightly shorter than the first man, of slim build and was also wearing dark clothing.

DI Mitchell added, "It was not dark at the time and we are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area."

If you have information, contact the police on (01786) 456000 or pass on the details anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
