Alloa's Robert is a soap star

ALLOA-BORN Robert Fyfe has popped up in Coronation Street.

The Last of the Summer Wine actor (above right), who portrayed cheating hubby Howard, is now playing lollipop man Malcolm Lagg who's been sent to train Dennis Tanner (Philip Lowrie) to take over his job.

The 87-year-old will next be seen on the big screen within the Tom Hanks and Halle Berry sci-fi Cloud Atlas.

Not bad for a local lad.
