Rab Thomson, from Alva, has already raised £1200 for The John Hartson Foundation via two events held this year - one in Tilly’s Devonpark Inn and the other at Vinny’s Bar in the Raploch.
Rab said, “We’re looking forward to sharing an entertaining evening with John and Frank. When John came up earlier this year he was very well received and the fact we can raise money for his foundation on the night is a real bonus.
“It’s a cause close to my heart, as like most people, I have experienced the devastating effects that cancer has on friends or family members. I’m delighted to be able to help raise more money for the foundation.”
The dinner will take place on Saturday 2 November in Tillicoultry’s Devonvale Hall from 7pm.
A variety of auction and raffle prizes will be on offer. Tickets are available for £30 per person or £300 per table of 10. Please contact Rab on 07927022425 for more details.
The John Hartson Foundation was set up following the footballer’s life-threatening battle with testicular cancer and aims to raise awareness of the illness. It also provides support to people with cancer and their families.
