FORMER Apprentice star Sharon McAllister has been ordered to pay a hefty legal aid bill in a court battle over her son.

The 37-year-old, who appeared on the second series of the hit BBC show in 2006, has been told to pay £20,000 in legal expenses.

At Perth Sheriff Court she was found guilty of contempt of court for ignoring court orders about visiting rights to the boy.

The ex-Lornshill Academy pupil was warned she could be jailed for breaching court orders in the legal battle with her ex-partner.

Perth Sheriff Fiona Tait told the mother-of-two, “The options are a custodial sentence, a financial penalty, or for the court to defer matters. I’m minded to defer sentence for six months for you to be of good behaviour.”

McAllister, formerly of Forrestmill but now living in England, was given legal aid to defend the civil action brought by her former partner, which Sheriff Tait ordered her to pay back.
