A TILLICOULTRY based charity is once again holding a race through Strathallan.

The Margaret Gordon Trust has organised the Orchill 10k and 5k races for Sunday, 22 June.

The event, sponsored by The Gleneagles Hotel and Orchill Fishery, will raise funds for children’s hospice charity, CHAS.

John Gordon, trust founder, said, “Last year we raised £1547 by way of entry fees and sponsorship. This year we are introducing a 2km Family Fun Run to enable parents or guardians to take part with their own children or relations.

“The age limit for children is 7 to 15 years. The first family over the line will receive a really good prize and medals.

“Come along and run in beautiful Strathallan and help us raise funds for this very famous charity.” The route starts and ends at the Activities Centre, Gleneagles Hotel and loops through Braco.

Runners can enter online at www.sportsentrysolutions.com and those who raise £35 in sponsorship are eligible for free entry.

Anyone who enters before 31 May will receive an online discount.
