Moncrieff UF Church: Our Service on Sunday was conducted by Mr Hector McAulay, and this week’s Service at 11.30am on Sunday will be conducted by Rev Patricia Johnston. The Church Café continues on Mondays from 10am–noon, when all will be made welcome. The Church Garden is open to the public during the day, and it is hoped that it will be used by the local community and town centre employees as a time-out space from the normal business of their week. Over the period of vacancy, should any member require help of any kind, please contact your Elder in the first instance. Moncrieff Church Boys’ Brigade Company: All Sections of the Company are now on holiday and will resume in September, although Company Section boys go to camp at St Andrews in August. St Mungo’s Parish Church: The WW1 Memorial Service was held in the church on Sunday after a wreath laying ceremony at the Cenotaph. Readings were given by the new Lord Lieutenant, Lt Col (Retd) Johnny Stewart, and Depute Provost Les Sharp. Alloa Ludgate Church: For the next two weeks the Rev. Carol Anne Parker will be away on holiday. During this time worship at Ludgate Church will be led by the worship team and the Rev. John Shone and the Rev. Sang Cha will be covering pastoral issues and funeral arrangements. Tomorrow (Thursday) the church is supporting The Gate Foodbank with their Trolley Drop at ASDA supermarket. August will be a busy month in the church, with the summer holiday club starting on 4 August which will include five afternoons of fun for primary age children. On the 10 August there is a family BBQ and scavenger hunt. Tickets are now for sale and the fun starts at 3pm. Rotary Club of Alloa: In addition to its normal meetings at Gean House in Alloa on Wednesday lunchtimes, The Rotary Club of Alloa, Clackmannanshire will be meeting on Thursday evenings at the Hollytree Hotel in Menstrie. Clackmannan Parish Church of Scotland: This summer our Church is open to visitors every weekday afternoon from 2pm for a couple of hours. Come and see the two stained glass windows refurbished this year. Worship on Sunday is at 11am in the church when Jim Cochrane will be welcomed back for his second visit of the month. On Tuesday the Coffee Morning is open from 10am in the Church Hall and on Wednesday the Prayer Group meets at 8 pm in the Bruce Memorial Hall. Dollar Civic Centre: Information for community and voluntary groups. Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface is providing an information surgery for community and voluntary groups to give help and information in areas such as funding, constitutions and policies. Go along and speak to Maureen Hill CTSI Organisational Support Officer at Dollar Civic Centre. These meetings take place on the last Thursday of every month from 1pm to 2pm.

Dollar Parish Church: Sunday 27 July: The service at Dollar Parish Church at 11am will be led by the Minister, Rev Jerome O’Brien. Teas and coffees will be served in the Burnside Hall, after worship, by members of the Badminton Group. All welcome. The service at Muckhart will be held in the Coronation Hall, with the congregation of Glendevon Parish Church, at 9.30am. This will be led by the Minister. There is no service at Glendevon Parish Church on Sunday 27 July. Please note that there is no service at Wardlaw House on Sunday 20 July.

FISHCROSS Wee County Walkers: Summer is here and there’s the chance to get fitter on the free Tuesday walks which meet at 2pm beside Cat Protection in Fishcross.

Charity Shop: The Cats Protection charity shop in Alloa Road, Fishcross, is open on Thursdays and Fridays from 1pm to 3pm and Saturday and Sunday from 1pm to 4pm selling good second hand clothing, bric-a-brac, books and new goods.

KINCARDINE Kincardine Community Centre: A fundraising car boot sale is being held at the centre on Saturday 2 August between 11am and 1pm. There will be new and second hand goods for sale. Menstrie Parish Church: Rev L Mack conducted worship and her address was “An Awesome God”. In Isaiah 6 it describes how Isaiah felt when he saw God. He was filled with respect, fear and awe. As we really notice the wonders of our world and how small and fragile we are,we have the reassurance of the presence of the Holy Spirit. Bible readings were from Psalm 139 and Isaiah 6:1-8. Donations for The Gate foodbank will be delivered again next week. Thanks is given for continued support. The next Summer Stall is Saturday 2 August. Sauchie & Fishcross U F Church: Last Sunday morning, Rev Graham Brown spoke on “The Need to Walk in the Light”. The Bible Reading was part of 1 John. At the Evening Service, we thought about “Worshipping the Redeemer”, with the Bible Reading being Revelation chapter 5. The Bible Study and Prayer meeting meets on Wednesday from 7 until 8.30pm. On Sunday, services will take place at 11am and 6.30pm. There will be a short meeting of the Kirk Session after the Morning Service.

The next meeting of Sauchie Community Group will be on Thursday 31 July at 7pm in Sauchie Resource Centre. Councillor Derek Stewart and guest speaker Donald Forbes, Landscape Partnership, will be speaking on the night. New faces welcome.
