KEITH Brown MSP has encouraged his constituents not to miss out on energy provider SSE’s new scheme.
The Warm Home Discount (WHD) is now available to customers on low incomes, including those who have a disability, long term illness or are elderly.
Financial assistance could include credit towards winter bills, debt relief, free energy efficient appliances and benefit entitlement checks.
Last year, SSE assisted over 330,000 customers, with the energy giant looking to fund a similar number this year.
Mr Brown said, “I encourage everyone who is eligible to take the time to complete the application form for the Warm Home Discount.
“We have seen energy bills increase significantly in recent years so it important that those who need help can access it.
“This is an important scheme and one which can offer customer’s piece of mind this winter.”
