Clackmannanshire residents are being invited along to their constituency office for a coffee.

Gordon, the MP for Ochil and South Perthshire, and staff will hold their coffee morning on Thursday 2 October between 10.30am and noon, in support of the work done by MacMillan Cancer Support.

He said, “Everyone in my office looks forward to our MacMillan Coffee Morning. It’s an event that is always great fun whilst giving us the opportunity to raise funds for such a good cause. It’s not only a great chance to catch up with constituents.” Refreshments and home baking will be on offer, as well as the opportunity to meet and speak with your local MP.

The event comes after Banks recently signed up for his fourth consecutive year of fundraising with the charity, in a bid to meet the charity’s main ambition – that within 20 years, three in four of all cancer patients that are diagnosed will survive 10 years.

Banks added, “Many people are affected, or know someone who is affected by cancer, and the more that we can do to help eradicate and support those who suffer from this horrible disease the better. Charities like MacMillan and Cancer Research UK deserve as much support as we can give them.”
