Several businesses from around Clackmannanshire made it to the finals of the Forth Valley Chamber Business Awards this year.

Following on from last year’s inaugural event, this year’s version promises to be one of the biggest business dates in the diary this year, and takes place on 19 March at the Hilton Dunblane Hydro Double Tree.

And three local businesses have made it through the application process and were invited to the finals in a variety of categories.

Energylinx for Business Ltd has been shortlisted for the award of Best Start-Up Business. GreenPower International Ltd made it to the finals in the Best Green Business Category, while Ceteris (Clackmannanshire’s Business Gateway outlet) has been nominated for Best Large Business, an award sponsored by Forth Valley College.

Laurence Barrett, Chamber CEO, said: “We have been delighted by the response from businesses in the Clackmannanshire area and the high standard of entry is reflected in the shortlisted finalists.

“It is going to be very difficult for the judges to pick an overall winner in each category, but we are looking forward to celebrating the success of all of our finalists.” The awards dinner is sponsored by the Ministry of Defence and 350 guests are expected to attend including local MSP Keith Brown. The menu for the evening was created by Michelin starred chef Nick Nairn.
