Alloa town centre will host a Continental Market on 10, 11 and 12 September, 10am to 5pm, helping to bring the High Street alive with a taste of something different.

Products on sale will include French pancakes, roasted peanuts, German sausages, Italian olives, Dutch cheese, Parisian clothing and African wood carvings.

The Continental Market is one of many events which have been delivered by the ATCBID over the previous months which have included their summer programme.

The Frozen party, animal zoo, children’s entertainers, face painting and balloon modelling all went down well with townsfolk and visitors alike.

Andrew Mitchell of ATCBID told the Advertiser: “A number of town centre businesses asked us to bring the Continental Market back to help attract people into the town centre.

“We are using the same continental market company who brought the first ever Continental Market to Alloa which helped to attract thousands of people into the town centre.

“In addition to the continental market on Saturday we have a Taste of Alloa Event which will feature local live bands, a fun fair, the Bosch catering truck, local groups, face painting and balloon modelling”.
