A MARCHGLEN Care Home resident enjoyed her first sailing experience through the care home’s ‘living’ activities programme.
Elaine Corsie, who has been living with Multiple Sclerosis since 1987, was taken round the loch at Lochore Meadows Park.
With a taste for adventure, she has been up in a glider, taken part in sky dives, and the hammock style seat of a two-seater sailboat was assessed as suitable using their adapted hoist.
It was part of a programme developed for residents of the Fishcross care home to explore existing hobbies and lost interests, through interactive activities and outings. The sailing was made possible by the charity, Sailability, which is subsidised by Fife Council at Lochore.
