The winners of a school competition to design artwork for Fairfield Park and the Greygoran underpass in Sauchie have been announced at Craigbank Primary School last week.

As the Advertiser reported earlier this month, independent judges selected 10 finalists, all from Craigbank Primary, after over 80 pupils submitted their drawings.

The public was then invited to decide on their favourites with 328 people voting for their first and second choice.

The winning picture for the Fairfield Pavilion was created by Aimee Cook and Rebecca Young (6).

Since they had the same amount of votes, two pictures will be used under the Greygoran bridge. The two winning designs here were created by Rachel Pirie (7) and Wiktoria Mionskowska (9).

Staff from Clackmannanshire Council’s Youth Services are already working in the park this week alongside young people, including the winners, to recreate Aimee’s winning design.

Next week (from 6 July) they will be working under the bridge and those who would like to help can contact Youth Services on 01259 450 000.
