Local politicians Keith Brown MSP and Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh MP have congratulated local organisations Simply Wee County Catering and Sauchie Community Group on being awarded grants from Big Lottery’s Awards for All.
Sauchie Community Group has received a £10,000 Awards for All grant which they will use to provide a year long programme of public events for local people.
And Simply Wee County Catering has received a £7,750 Awards for All grant to help with set up costs and improving their organisation Commenting Mr Brown said: “Well done to the two groups on their successful funding applications which will help them develop projects which will benefit local communities.
“Local organisations like these are so important to the community and they do great work in the local area, providing a range of services for people both young and old, and it is good to see that their hard work is being recognised and rewarded with much needed funding.
“As always, I am more than happy to lend my support to any groups considering applying for funding.” Ms Ahmed-Sheikh added: “Winning these grants is a significant success for both these organisations, and so I congratulate them and look forward to seeing the positive difference this investment will make in these two Clackmannanshire communities.
“I look forward to meeting with representatives from Awards for All and the Big Lottery Fund in Parliament next month to see what else we can do to increase the number of local organisations receiving this type of funding in the months and years ahead.”
