THERE have been some fantastic fundraising efforts at Marchglen Care Centre in Fishcross.

Support worker Sarah Muir organised a number of events in order to collect money for a worthwhile charity.

She said: "I decided I wanted to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis as we have many residents with it and to also raise awareness of Marchglen Care Centre and what we specialise in."

A 'be bold in blue' tea party was held on Saturday, April 23 which raised £523 and on Monday, April 25 and Tuesday, April 26 staff had a non-uniform day which saw them wear blue coloured clothing.

At the final count, a total of £600 was raised for the MS Trust and Sarah said she was "really shocked" by how many people turned out to support her.

And the fundraising won't stop there either, as she is gearing up to take on a skydive with her co-worker Teresa Gavin.

Sarah said: "We are doing this to raise more money for Multiple Sclerosis and we don't have a set date as of yet. It's scary to think about it, but it's all for a good cause."
