POLICE are looking for a handful of youths who may have been responsible for vandalising a bus travelling through Sauchie last Wednesday.

The driver was heading along on Gartmorn Road near the playpark at around 10pm when he observed a group of four male youths, aged around 13 years old, standing on the pavement.

As he passed them he heard a loud smash and pulled over to find the outer pane of a nearside window completely shattered, with a hole in the inner pane.

A female passenger was sitting in the seat directly next to the window but was uninjured, according to Police Scotland.

Spokesperson said: "The police at Alloa take these types of incidents very seriously and officers are investigating to find those responsible. It is purely good fortune that no one has been injured as a result of this incident.

"This sort of reckless behaviour is extremely dangerous and could easily have resulted in serious injury to the passengers, driver and other road users.

"Extra patrols will be carried out in Sauchie to reassure people and prevent further incidents."

Anyone who has any information about this incident is urged to contact the Police at Alloa or Crime stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
