POLICE are hunting vandals who caused damage at the grounds of Sauchie Juniors Football Club.

Clacks officers are looking into the incident, which was reported to them last week.

It is believed the vandals entered the grounds some time between the night of Tuesday, September 19, and the morning of Wednesday, September 20. 

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police in Forth Valley are investigating following a report of damage to the grounds of a football club in Sauchie.

“The incident was reported to police around 11.20am on Wednesday, September 20. 

“Damage was caused to the stand and to signage within the premises.

“Enquiries are currently ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact officers at Alloa Police Station on 101, quoting incident number 1169 of September 20.”

Local youths are being reported for damage caused to other properties within Clackmannanshire.

Police Scotland received several complaints about incidents at Play Alloa on Broad Street and Forth Valley College’s Alloa campus on Devon Road.

Forth Valley Police Division has said as a result of enquiries and excellent assistance from members of the public, they will be reporting five youngsters aged 12-15 for the damage at Play Alloa and also two aged 14 for incidents at the college in April and August of this year.
