A FISHCROSS woman will spend the next year under supervision after pleading guilty to assaulting her partner.

Catherine Jolly appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court last Thursday for sentencing after admitting that on December 16, 2017, she assaulted her partner by throwing a drink over him at The Bridge Inn.

The charge had been amended to remove a section which stated that the 56-year-old also struck him with her walking stick.

Jolly was also facing numerous charges which stated that she contacted her partner while subject to a non-harassment order and she was admonished on those charges.

Her lawyer, Robert Smith, told the court that she was currently deemed unsuitable to be given treatment by the Forth Valley addiction services.

Sheriff David Mackie sentenced Jolly, of Lawswell, Fishcross, to a years supervision and to attend alcohol counselling.
