THE fourth annual Tillicoultry Community Week was a huge success, with hundreds of people turning out to enjoy a wide range of activities.

With more than 40 events on the programme – from Monday 10 to Sunday 16 August – there was plenty for all the family to take part in.

It kicked off with a barbecue in Murray Square and around 100 people tucked into some local burgers and sausages while having a chat.

Tillicoultry Golf Club and Tillicoultry Bowling Club put on free sessions for people to try the sports and the Tilly Tearoom hosted scone making demonstrations and art activities.

Many events were held at the Ben Cleuch Centre, with free crepes from the Tillicouer Twinning Group, meet the author and a relaxation session proving popular.

Families enjoyed a film afternoon in the Baptist Church, a craft event making characters from Angry Birds and Minecraft and a treasure hunt around town.

There was also The Woolie Quiz, fire building, den building and the highlight of the week, the Tilly in the Park concert hosted by Hillfoots Rugby Club, plus much more.

A huge thanks is given to all those who made the events happen.
