If you go down to Sterling Mills today you’re sure of a small surprise.

Puzzled staff are scratching their heads after a string of mysterious tiny objects started popping up around the shopping village.

First a tiny golden bike was found leaning against a wall, then a miniature washing line appeared, complete with colourful clothes pegged out on it.

Since the first objects appeared last Wednesday, baffled staff have also stumbled across tiny deckchairs and parcels carefully placed on the floors.

And when mysterious fairy doors also started appearing around the popular outlet village, the rumour mill on social media went into overdrive.

Centre manager Ashley Bisland revealed: “It all started when we spotted a tiny bike no bigger than a hand parked against a wall. We couldn’t work out who it belonged to or how it had got there - but that was only the start.

“Since then, more and more little things have started appearing as if by magic. We’ve seen at least a dozen fairy doors in various spots, but no one knows where they’re coming from.

“Some people have joked that it might be fairies looking for a bargain. It’s already sparked plenty of wild theories on our Facebook page but we’re completely stumped.”

Visitors are now being urged to seek out more tiny treasures around the shopping centre - and help staff solve the riddle.

Ashley added: “We’d love to know who these tiny mystery shoppers really are. Who knows what will pop up next?”
