A PERVERT who performed a sex act on a man who fell into a drunken sleep in his living room was jailed today.

Alistair Millar, 55, met his 44-year-old victim in a Stirling bar, and after buying each other drinks and talking about football they took a bus back to Millar's flat in Tillicoultry, Clackmannanshire.

After buying more alcohol, his victim became insensible through drink, and while he was still under the influence and incapable of giving consent, Millar performed the sex act on him.

His victim later realised what had happened, and police were alerted.
For legal reasons, Millar's victim cannot be identified.

Today at Stirling Sheriff Court, Millar pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting the man on December 7, 2014.

Defence agent Greg Cunningham said his client rejected suggestions in a social background report that he had "groomed" his victim, and said the offence was "entirely opportunistic".

Sheriff William Gilchrist jailed Millar, of Union Street, for nine months for what he described as "a serious offence."

The jail term is part of an extended sentence which will also require him to remain under social work supervision for two years after his release.
