THOUSANDS turned out to see world-famous Tillicoultry make-up star Jamie Genevieve last week.

Fans from Aberdeen to Newcastle attended The Centre Livingston's biggest annual fashion and beauty event on Thursday, April 6.

Jamie, who boasts over 10m views on her YouTube channel, travels the world hosting beauty masterclasses and promoting products for various brands including Tarte Cosmetics.

The 23-year-old joined the Heart FM team on stage for an hour of beauty tutorials, highlighting not only this season's key colours and trends but also showing shoppers how to get her signature look.

She said: "There was such a great crowd at The Centre’s beauty and fashion event – a nice mix of people with some great looks.

"When the audience is so enthusiastic and interactive it makes it really fun – they had a great energy for me to vibe off."

Beauty expert Jamie headlined the free event, which featured makeovers, music and was a huge success.

Claire Ingram, 32, from Aberdeen, said: "My friend and I have come all the way from Aberdeen to see Jamie's masterclass – I follow her on Youtube and love trying to recreate some of her more grungy looks – it really was a great night, where we managed to get quite a bit of shopping in too."

Also on the line-up was fashion and beauty stylist and blogger Sheri Scott of foreveryoursbetty.com, who was voted one of the UK's most stylish women by Stylist magazine for her vibrant, fun and colourful image, giving tips on how to hone your own unique style and how to update and refresh your spring wardrobe.

Guests at the event, which has become a firm fixture in the diary for women of all ages, enjoyed mini beauty treatments, drinks and music in a mobile Piano Bar.

There was mocktails and cupcakes served by butlers and a specially-designed party photo booth to help capture the moment with fun and quirky snaps.

The Flyin' Jalapenos were also "locking, popping and rocking" around the mall throughout the night with an impressive mix of breakdance moves.

Ashley Bisland, deputy centre director at The Centre, said: "Each year our biggest beauty and fashion event just gets better and better and this year was no different, thanks to beauty sensation Jamie Genevieve who blew the crowds away with her incredible live demonstrations, which some visitors travelled over 300 miles to watch.

"The feedback from shoppers who also enjoyed everything from style consultations and street dancing to mocktails and beauty treatments has been fantastic."
