AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after a schoolboy was attacked by a group of youths in Tillicoultry.
Police said the 13-year-old was the subject of an "unprovoked assault" at around 8.30pm on Sunday, May 28.
The incident took place on Hareburn Road and officers have issued an appeal to the public for information.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland confirmed: "At about 8.30pm on Sunday, May 28, a 13-year-old male was the subject of an unprovoked assault in Hareburn Road, Tillicoultry, by a group of youths.
"If you witnessed this incident or have any information with regards to this, please contact Police Scotland on 101 and quote reference number CF0073980517."
Alternatively, information can also be given anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
