CLACKS families will flock to the Hillfoots next weekend for the annual Tillicoultry Gala.

The event will take place in the park on Sunday, June, from 1pm until 4.30pm, with entrance completely free of charge.

Organisers are inviting everyone from across the Wee County to attend and to get involved with the festivities.

A spokesperson for the committee said: "An exciting range of activities have been planned for the day, which will kick off with a parade from Murray Square at 12.45pm led by the Alloa Bowmar Pipe Band.

"Many local groups will take part – and organisers would like people to get involved to make it the biggest parade yet. Children wearing fancy dress can join the parade at 12.30pm.

"There will be a number of stalls from local groups and charities together with a whole host of amusements - dancing displays, children's races and games, roundabouts, inflatable slides, Punch and Judy, Balloon Magic and lots more.

"The extremely popular Mini Highland Games will also be back, which is lots of fun for everyone to take part in.

"The Gala Committee is exceptionally grateful to all the local businesses, community groups and individuals who have kindly donated funds and for their support."
