THE owners of a Tullibody care home have launched a digital feedback system to ensure residents, relatives and workers are able to review the quality of care they provide.

HC-One currently run The Orchard Care Home on Lynchgate Road and have installed “user-friendly” touchscreen tablets to gain an insight into how their service is viewed by members of the public.

The company — one of the largest care providers in the UK — say the system will be easy and convenient and hope to receive regular feedback from service users.

Using these tablets, residents, relatives, visitors and staff are able to respond to a series of questions about their experience in the home.

These prompts will include whether people receive a warm welcome to the home; whether there is a positive atmosphere in the home; and whether other colleagues are appropriately prepared for visitors.

It will also assess the level of staff support and engagement with residents and the home’s cleanliness.

HC-One say that the information collected through this initiative will enable them to identify best practices across its homes, and respond to any concerns people may have.

The company’s Chairman Dr Chai Patel said: “We have launched this innovative initiative as part of our ongoing commitment to providing the best experience and kindest care for residents.

“This scheme will also ensure that our homes are a great place for our dedicated colleagues to work, and for relatives and members of HC-One’s local communities to visit.”
