A TEENAGER has been charged with numerous acts of vandalism at St Serf's nursery, officers have confirmed.

The youngster, aged 14, was traced this week following a public appeal for information.

It is believed he is one in a group of individuals behind a series of incidents at the Tullibody school.

On Tuesday morning, the Advertiser reported that "significant damage" had been caused to furniture and an outdoor stage area at the nursery sometime over the long Easter weekend.

However, earlier today, a Police Scotland spokesman said: "A 14-year-old male has been charged in connection with a number of acts of vandalism at a nursery in Tullibody.

"Officers are also following a positive line of inquiry to identify other individuals believed to be involved."

Police have also thanked the residents in Tullibody for assisting with their inquiry.
