A TULLIBODY teenager has donated hundreds to charity, after organising a sponsored badminton rally.
Katherine Martin, 13, asked her Forthside Junior team mates to help her achieve the longest rally possible.
And their efforts did not disappoint with the youngsters raising a total of £520, to be split evenly between Tullibody Community Garden and CLIC Sargeant.
It also gave the group a chance to test their own skills, with the best rally of the evening coming between Katherine and Aiden Hunter, with the pair managing 371 returns.
Katherine organised the event as part of her Baden Powell Award.
Mum Ruth said: “A total of £520 was raised which she split between CLIC Sargent and Tullibody Community Garden. I'm also sure that her fundraising efforts went some way to her being named S1-3 Global Citizen of the Year at her school's prize giving earlier this month. We're very proud of her achievements."
CLIC Sargent fundraising manager Rachael McLean added: “We are absolutely thrilled that Katherine and her friends have made this wonderful contribution to our charity. We really appreciate Katherine’s enthusiasm for fundraising and the generosity of her school mates and the local community in supporting our work with young cancer patients.”
