AN INDOOR trampoline and games park is finally set to open this week, following months of planning and renovation.

Jump-n-Joy will unlock its doors tomorrow and offer its fun activities to people from the Wee County and beyond.

Bosses were hoping to bring to their venue the latest in the amusement sector; together with the expected, there are also trampolines angled along the wall as well as a whole corner dedicated to jumpy games.

Foam pits with a climbing wall where people can race each other as well as a jousting plank offer gusts the opportunity to put their skills to the test, while a jump-off platform which feeds a huge airbag completes the arena at Dumyat Business Park.

The venue itself comes with a café overlooking the games area and with a live camera feed, to allow people to take a break and watch over friends, family and the young ones.

Completing the offering is a party room, ideal for birthdays, and the venue is also available for corporate events.

The fun will be more-or-less non-stop with plans to keep Jump-n-Joy open seven days a week between 10am and 8pm.

Each weekday, except during school holidays, bosses are planning sessions just for toddlers between 10am and 12noon.

In addition, between 12noon and 2pm, assisted hours are scheduled for people with disabilities and learning difficulties who can come and play with their carers.

With schools off next week, Hasan Eretkin, one of the brains behind the operation, reckons it is the perfect time to get the new venture off the ground.

He said many people have already been enquiring about the assisted hours, adding: "I think it's going to be one of the good things that we do for the area."

Last Sunday, the Advertiser was granted access to the venue with selected friends and family taken the course for a trial run. It was an opportunity to make sure the machine is well-oiled and to get the employees up to speed.

Most of the staff, of whom there are about 20, are now in place, but Hasan said: "We are still looking for a part-time receptionist and maybe a couple of more staff for the café as well."

The boss hopes he managed to bring a few unusual items in with the various activities at the park to provide a unique offering.

He added: "We were trying to bring the latest games in this field to the area."
