AN ALLOA teenager charged with smashing a car through scaffolding at a house in Menstrie failed to appear in court this week.
The 18-year-old has been charged with a number of motoring offences including driving without a licence and dangerous driving.
He was due to appear at Alloa Sheriff Court on Monday but did not turn up to face his charges.
It is alleged that on October 11, 2017, the youngster drove down Tullibody Road, Menstrie, dangerously, at speed and failed to keep the car under control.
This caused the car to leave the carriageway, causing a cyclist to take evasive action to avoid being struck.
The car then drove over the public footpath and entered the curtilage of a property before colliding with scaffolding and then hit a house.
The impact caused damage to the house and exposed the occupants to risk of injury.
It is further alleged that he done so without holding a valid driving licence or insurance.
The teenager, of Craigbank, Sauchie, is also charged with not stopping at the scene of an accident and not giving his details or reporting the incident.
The case was continued without plea until May 21.
