Dear editor While tarmac in the car park beyond the graveyard at Greenside enjoys the luxury of bathing in whatever the winter sun delivers, shoppers in Alloa drive round and round in a sweat looking for spaces.

Surely the trial period for that expensive parking “owned by the public” and lying virtually empty day in day out, located at the back of the council offices at Kilncraigs should be made available to shop keepers and all who are stuck in offices from 9-5 to let the rest of the drivers who support their jobs and the local economy enjoy the convenience of a less crowded Greenside car park.

Yours sincerely Daphne Hamilton (address supplied)
