Dear Editor In reply to your article regarding Weir Pumps Social Club in last weeks paper, the current committee is new and somewhat green as to the licensing laws. However, the committee have held their hands up and accepted full responsibility for the licence breach. That being said, the personal attacks on myself and the bar manageress, being drunk on the night in question are false and we do have independent witnesses (not related) to prove it.
I don’t understand why this paper felt the need to report this part of the story as it does no-one any good.
