Dear Editor I am totally and utterly disgusted at the Uk Governements blatant mis-use of tac-payers money to produce and send out a booklet regarding the referendum.

I’d like to know why they felt it was ok to use £720000 of public money on this? I am absolutely certain that if the Scottish Government had done something similar, Westminster would have been up in arms!!

What is the point of the Electoral Commission setting spending limits when the Better Together campaign has the full resources of Westminster at it’s disposal! Political campaigning should be funded by voluntary sources and fund raising NOT tax-payers. It doesn’t happen in General Elections and it shouldn’t be happening now.

I absolutely do not want my taxes spent on political campaigning and I urge everyone to contact the public correspondence department at the cabinet office and their local MP Gordon Banks to express their disgust.

Your sincerely Mrs Preston Address supplied
