A MAN remains in hospital this evening after being "found unwell" in Sauchie earlier today.

Police said they arrived on Beechwood at 7.15am this morning (Wednesday) but gave little detail about the nature of the call.

The service confirmed, however, that a male - said to be in his 30s - was taken to hospital and remains in a stable condition.

Efforts are still being made to identify him, while officers with Police Scotland are asking anyone with any information to come forward.

A spokesperson confirmed: "Police in Forth Valley were called to the Beechwood area of Sauchie at around 7.15am on Wednesday, 24 May, following a man being found unwell.

"The man has been taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital, where he is currently described as stable.

"Enquiries continue to identify him and establish the full circumstances surrounding this.

"Anyone with information which may be able to help is asked to contact Alloa Police Station via 101."

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson added: "We received a call at 0545 hours today to attend an incident at an address in Beechwood.

"We dispatched one ambulance which arrived on scene at 0549 hours.

"One male patient, in his thirties, was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital."
