Young Mixed Martial Arts fighter Jordan Struthers continued his winning ways on Saturday with a unanimous decision victory over Nico Bajerski.

Jordan's second amateur bout was a step up in class from his previous contests, with his opponent coming from a kickboxing background and holding an advantage in terms of experience, height and reach.

The Wee County native found the going tough in the first round and Bajerski nearly forced him to submit on a few occasions.

However, Jordan battled back in the second round, taking his opponent down at the end of the round as well as getting the better of the striking exchanges to ensure the pair went into the third and final round on level terms.

Jordan then stepped up a gear in the last round, getting an early takedown and landing some heavy blows. He almost forced a submission from Bajerski before the round ended, with the Alloa man the clear winner in the eyes of the judges.

His team mate and corner man Craig McIntosh said: "Jordan showed big improvements from his last fight and a never quit attitude that you can't teach. I expect big things to come from him in the future.”

Jordan wanted to thank his corner team Craig and Stevie Mcintosh for helping him make the right adjustments during the fight and his coach James Doolan for preparing him for the contest.
