SAUCHIE new boy Moses Olanrewaju says he is looking forward to playing regular football again after signing on at Beechwood Park.

The forward left Stirling Albion in January and played for Sauchie as a trialist before putting pen to paper, and the Englishman is keen to make an immediate impact at his new club.

And the youngster revealed he is already loving life in the Wee County.

Olanrewaju told Advertiser Sport: “It is good to be back playing football again and Sauchie have given me the chance to do that so I am grateful to them.

"I loved my time at Stirling and it was a really hard decision to make, but now I am fully focused on playing and scoring for Sauchie.

“I had a few different options and some of them were quite appealing but I had to think about where I was most likely to get playing time and Sauchie was the club that stood out. I am really enjoying being at the club. The training sessions are great and there is a really good group of lads here.

"I am loving working with them just now.”

Olanrewaju says a major factor in his decision to move to Sauchie was the chance to win silverware, a choice he feels has been vindicated by their strong league position and march to the quarter-finals of the Scottish Junior Cup.

He said: “Another thing which helped me choose Sauchie was the fact that they are in such a good position in the league.

"As a team, if we keep doing what we have been doing, we should win the league, but that will take a lot of focus and hard work. Getting through to the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup is massive too.

"It is a huge achievement for the club.”

The winger admitted that his main aim for the rest of the season is to play as many games as possible following an injury-hit few months, but reckons he can help fire his new side to league and cup glory along the way.

Olanrewaju added: “My aim for the season is really to maintain my fitness and help consolidate our position at the top of the league, while going as far in the cup as we can.

"The most important thing for me is to get back playing, because I have had a few injury problems. I have put them behind me now and I am looking forward to doing my bit for the team.”
