DOLLAR Tennis Club will hold a free open day next week.
Set for Saturday, May 20, it has been organised as part of the Lawn Tennis Association's national campaign – The Great British Tennis Weekend.
The club will officially kick-off the 2017 season with this event – running between 11am and 4pm – for anyone interested in tennis, prospective new joiners and current members.
Everyone is welcome for an afternoon of fun activities, whether a beginner, social or experienced team player.
Casha McNab, Dollar Tennis Club secretary, said: "This will be a great afternoon out and a chance for people to play on our refurbished all-weather courts, try out some of the new activities and classes we have introduced and brush up on their tennis for free."
On the day, there will be a range of free activities, including cardio tennis and taster coaching sessions, fun tournaments for adults and kids, a fastest serve contest, and the opportunity to 'hit' on court with members.
There will also be a BBQ, home baking and refreshments, along with a prize draw.
Although people can turn up on the day, the club would appreciate attendees pre-registering to help improve their event planning/catering.
Booking slots are also provided online for the activities taking place – which are subject to availability.

The club’s Facebook page, and the open day Facebook event, will also provide regular updates – search for dollartennisclub.
