ALLOA youngsters Sean Fagan and Nathan Fell have become the latest Wasps starlets to earn international honours.

The pair have been called up to Scotland’s Schools Under-18 squad for the Centenary Shield tournament this spring, which will see them take on England, the Republic of Ireland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Versatile defender or midfielder Fagan will represent St Mungo’s High in Falkirk and has already featured for Forth Valley Schools.

He joined Alloa last summer from Syngenta Juveniles.

Midfield player Fell has represented Glasgow Schools, where he attends All Saints Secondary, and is in his second season at the Indodrill Stadium having previously been part of former Scotland international Andy McLaren’s Scheme Soccer project.

The pair’s call-up means that the number of young Wasps to earn international recognition in the last five years has now risen to ten.

Current under-20 star and first-team squad member Declan McDonald has won SFA caps at age-group level, while Graham Forsyth, now playing and coaching in the US, represented Scottish Colleges.

Scott Hynd and John Cunningham have both scored for Scottish Schoolboys against England and Northern Ireland respectively, while Adam Martin earned rave reviews for his man-of-the-match display against England at Fleetwood.

Michael Hardie, Lewis Wilson and first-team goalkeeper Andrew Wilson have also won caps at schools level.
