ALLOA are on the verge of extending Dario Zanatta’s loan until the end of the season.
Advertiser Sport understands the on loan Hearts striker - who notched three goals in December - will sign a deal in the next few days to extend his stay in Clackmannanshire.
The Canadian youngster has proven a hit for the Wasps and has become a key part of Jim Goodwin’s eighth place side scoring six goals in 22 appearances.
Zanatta was one of five loaness snapped up by Goodwin ahead of Alloa’s return to the Championship as he joined Liam Burt, Connor Shields, Sam Roscoe, and Jake Hastie on six month deals.
Hastie and Burt have already returned to their parent clubs - Motherwell and Rangers, respectively - while Roscoe signed an extension on his deal at the start of the week.
Advertiser Sport believes the club are still working out an extension on Sunderland loanee Shields’ deal.
