Gregor is player of the month

Gregor Ramsay (13) who is currently starring with the Clackmannanshire Colts S1/S2 team is named as the Advertiser"s player of the month for March.

A former member of the Alloa Rugby Club mini section, Alloa Academy pupil Gregor (pictured) took a break from rugby to concentrate on his football. These days the youngster is mixing both codes and he is getting great reviews with Claremont Boys Club as well us running in the tries for Clacks Colts'.Jim Govee, the Alloa Rugby Club president told Advertiser Sport this week, 'It"s great to see the progress some of the Clackmannanshire youngsters have made over the past few seasons and we"re delighted to give Gregor the award.

'Unfortunately the number of youth matches we would have liked to have held at Earlsfield this season has been limited by the state of our pitches. However we will be doing extensive work in that area over the Summer and look forward to seeing Gregor"s team-mates and other Clacks Colts age-groups in action at Earlsfield more frequently next season'.
