The Judge – Alloa v Hibernian

Neil Parry...........7

Commanded his area well but wasn’t called into action as often as he might have expected. Made two good saves and could do nothing about the goals.

Scott Taggart..........7

His crossing almost led to an opener inside three minutes and he looked like Alloa’s most dangerous player for long spells.

Steven Hetherington.............6

Despite playing out of position, he has put in some decent displays at left back. Had a tough task up against Martin Boyle.

Andy Graham...............7

The captain marshalled the defence well and won most of his battles. Leads by example.

Daryll Meggatt...............6

Showed he can do a job at the heart of the defence as well as left back with some good challenges and superb reading of the game.

Jon Robertson.............8 STAR MAN

An all-action display from the midfielder, who was unlucky not to score with a couple of opportunities. Blatantly fouled in the build-up to Hibs’ second.

Kevin Cawley..............7

Many thought he would be in for a difficult afternoon against a tough Hibs defence, but he was industrious on and off the ball and created some good openings.

Iain Flannigan............7

Sometimes guilty of picking the wrong option in the final third, but a key threat. Alloa are worse when he doesn’t play.

Kris Renton.............6

It’s just not happening for the big striker – yet. Plenty of endeavour, but he was kept at bay by good defending, and when he did get through, Ofir Marciano made a terrific save.

Garry Fleming.............6

Like Renton, worked hard but didn’t get much joy up against a stern defence.

Alan Cook................6

Saw one early effort blocked away but didn’t create as much as he would perhaps have liked.

Adam Martin................7

Almost made an immediate impact upon entering the fray with a shot that was blocked away. Knocking harder and harder on the first team door.

Thomas Grant...........6

Showed a few nice touches, but was unable to really make his mark on the game.
