Dundee at Recs in Challenge Cup

ALTHOUGH the Alloa players are enjoying their close season break at the moment, which included for many of them a trip to Poland, thoughts are already focussed on the new season.

Last week"s draw in the Challenge Cup has paired the Wasps with Division 1 side Dundee which is an attractive fixture, due to be played at Recreation Park on Saturday 26 July.

Dundee finished their Irn Bru Division 1 fixtures in second position.

The full draw is:

North-East Section: - Ross County v. St. Johnstone, Alloa v. Dundee, Arbroath v. Forfar, Brechin City v. East Fife, Dunfermline v. Stirling Albion, Peterhead v. Montrose, Elgin City v. Cowdenbeath. Bye: Raith Rovers.

South-West Section: - East Stirlingshire v. Ayr United, Clyde v. Gretna, Stenhousmuir v. Albion Rovers, Partick Thistle v. Queen"s Park, Berwick Rangers v. Queen of the South, Livingston v. Stranraer, Airdrie v. Dumbarton. Bye: Morton.

Ties due 26 July.
