ALLAN Maitland has signed striker Stuart Noble and experienced defender Scott Walker as the Wasps prepare for next season.

Noble was on loan at Recreation Park during the latter part of the last campaign, from Airdrie, and scored four goals in fourteen appearances.

Defender Walker, who also had a loan spell with the Wasps, back in 2003, has been signed from Ayr United.

Maitland will be hoping the pair can do their respective jobs on the pitch and help the Wasps avoid another disappointing season.

Meanwhile, the draw for the first round of the Alba Challenge Cup has given Alloa an away trip to Dingwall to face First Division side Ross County on Saturday 25 July.
