A YOUTH player at Alloa Athletic has been signed by Premier League champions Rangers.
15-year-old Callum Wyllie is the latest star to be produced by the Wasps youth system after teenager Greig Spence moved to Celtic earlier in the season.
Callum plays up front and has joined Rangers U17s. He will move to a full time contract with the Glasgow giants when he finishes school later this year.
The teenager had a spell training at Murray Park last year and Rangers dutifully followed up and signed him in the correct and appropriate manner ahead of Hearts, who also wished to sign him.
Callum joined the Recreation Park club aged 12 when coach Tam McPake signed him for the U14 squad. 2007.
He played this season for the U16s as well as the U17s and also made an appearance for the first team in the summer at the victorious Oban Keyline Tournament.
Meanwhile, two other young youth players are heading for the SPL to play with Hearts. Striker Chris Black and midfielder Liam McCrory - both 13 - have signed on the dotted line at Tynecastle.
The club said they have been reimbursed appropriately for the youngsters and wish all three players every success in the future at their new clubs.

To have been picked up in such a way by the Club certainly must show that there is potential there. However, young Callum must keep his head down and train hard. If Rangers want him to train for 3 hours a day, he must do 4. In order to suceed at 'Establishment' such as Rangers dedication is a must. Good luck Callum and hopefully see you at IBrox in a couple of years.
