Striker Bryan Prunty signed for Alloa after leaving Ayr United.
Teenager James Bloom has joined Alloa on loan from Falkirk.
WASPS gaffer Allan Maitland has added some fire power to his squad for the second half of the campaign with the capture of former Celtic hit-man Bryan Prunty.
Maitland has been chasing the forward since he arrived at Alloa and is happy to have finally got his man.
He told the Advertiser Sport, "Bryan Prunty is a player I have been chasing since I arrived at Alloa so I'm delighted to get him."
The 27-year-old, who started his career at the Glasgow giants, has signed an 18 month contract with the Recreation Park club.
And the new man had a dream debut against Arthurlie in a friendly match arranged at Recreation Park on Saturday - grabbing a brace - after the league fixture at Clyde was postponed.
Alloa fans will be hoping he can take that scoring form into this weekend's game at Stenhousemuir as the Wasps look to continue their push for promotion.
Prunty has vast experience in the senior game having enjoyed spells with Aberdeen, Inverness and Airdrie United after his time at Celtic Park.
Player of the year
And last season he bagged 17 goals for Ayr United on his way to being named PFA Division Two Player of the Year.
The arrival of the striker means Brian Carrigan's chances of games are now limited - so he has been made available for transfer.
Maitland added, "I'm delighted to get Bryan on board but the knock-on effect is that there is limited opportunity for Brian Carrigan to get a game now.
"He has done well for us this season scoring vital goals and he also featured as a substitute against St Mirren but at this stage of his career he needs to be playing games."
The Alloa manager also said he is currently working to bring another striker to the club.
After the Arthurlie game, Maitland made a further addition to his squad by signing left back James Bloom on loan from Falkirk. Bloom is an 18-year-old Welshman who began his career with Cardiff City and joined the Bairns at the start of the season.
Meanwhile, ex-Wasp Scott Agnew got on the score sheet for Stranraer in the side's epic 5-4 win over Montrose on Saturday - a game the Links Park club led 4-2 with 20 minutes remaining.
