ALLOA Athletic will host SPL side Aberdeen in the second round of the Co-operative Insurance Cup.

The draw was made at Lesser Hampden this morning, with the tie due to be played on either Tuesday 24 or Wednesday 25 August.

Delighted Wasps defender Scott Walker told the Advertiser website, "It is a great draw. To get an SPL side at home in the next round is fantastic news."

He added, "All the pressure will be on them, they've not had the best results in cup competions, so we'll being go all out to cause an upset."

The sides last met - in the Scottish Cup - two seasons ago, when Aberdeen secured a narrow 2-1 victory at Recreation Park.

Read next week's Advertiser for more reaction to the draw.
