The booming sound of the Vuvuzelas may have dominated the 2010 FIFA World Cup but they will be partially silenced at Recreation Park.
Alloa Athletic FC has decided to ban the plastic horn in the stands - but anyone on the terraces can blow to their heart's content.
The board discussed the issue following the instrument's popularity at the South African tournament.
Vuvuzelas caused controversy for their incessant monotone noise during matches which some commentators said destroyed the atmosphere.
The Wasps are not the only club to try and take the sting out of the horns.
Already several top English Premiership sides, such as Arsenal, Birmingham City and Liverpool have banned the instruments.
Wasps director Mike Mulraney said, "At this point in time we have taken the view that they are not allowed in the stands but will be allowed in the ground.
"We do, however, reserve the right to review the decision as the season progresses."
The decision was made as supporters in the terraces have the opportunity to escape the close proximity of the horn whereas fans in the stands do not.
The horn made its first appearance among the Wasps fans during the win over East Stirling in the Co-operative Insurance Cup match.
Mr Mulraney added, "The players don't mind it.
"We are aware that some clubs have placed a ban on them already but we want to give fans the choice and the chance if they so wish. It's all about give and take."

haha yeah i know where your comeing from mate. i was only useing it when we went ahead.... am not the type to be blowing it all game. I can see where Mike is comeing from on this and ban it from the stand and about it being give and take behind the goals. alot of the children use them at the terrace behind the goals and we dont mind but if someone did am sure there parents would stop them. Mike has done a good thing not putting a total ban on it and i fully suspect Alloa to make their own and sell it at the club shop along with the likes of Celtic and Rangers. Think they will be around for a long time to come lol
